As a Principal, Fritz Lodge provides analysis, research, and strategic risk advisory services for corporate clients and financial institutions.

Prior to joining The Scowcroft Group Fritz worked as a journalist for The Cipher Brief, covering the Middle East and International Economics, and in Egypt from 2011 to 2013 covering the Arab Spring. Fritz also worked for former Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy at the American University in Cairo. He volunteered as a foreign policy advisor on the Middle East and sanctions policy for presidential campaigns in 2020.

He is an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve and a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has been recognized by the Middle East Policy Council as one of its 40 Under 40 awardees for 2025. 

Fritz received his M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and his B.A./M.A. in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from St. Andrews University in Scotland.
